Tian, a dancer in her partner Felix’s troupe in Marseille, is caught in a cycle of control and emotional abuse. After a fight, she escapes and hides, but Felix brings her back, leading to a violent confrontation that pushes her to the edge.

Injured and shaken, Tian finds herself drawn into the grief of a stranger’s family at a hospital, particularly connecting with Zada, the sister of a young man who just died. Pretending to have known him, Tian seeks solace and a new beginning amidst the grieving group, becoming Zada’s source of warmth and understanding, while hiding her dark secret: Felix is held captive at home.
